Being a Wedding & Events Manager for over 10 years including two of Edinburgh’s most popular venues, The Corn Exchange and Melville Castle, I’ve worked with and gotten to know all the major wedding suppliers in the business so when it came to choosing my own wedding photographer Philip was my number one choice! From the moment I first saw his work and experienced how easy he is to work with on the day (not the case with all photographers!) I knew he would be the one. I was so relieved when he had my date available! Out of all my wedding suppliers he was the only one that I had 100% confidence in. It was also pretty cool being able to tell my friends that the week before my wedding my photographer was photographing the Royal Family!
Colin and I love this picture of ourselves! For two people who hate being in front of the camera Philip has made us look so relaxed and natural and really captured the happiness of our day!
From booking, guidance was brilliant, no stress, comfortable, with humour but incredibly professional. Nothing was too much effort!
For much of the day Philip is so unobtrusive you forget he's even there. So many of our favourite photos and memories we didn't even know he'd taken! Even for the posed shots he ensured we stayed relaxed and chilled!
We are not great fans of being photographed as we both feel fairly awkward when given attention and we were kind of dreading the photography parts of the wedding. Yet on the day when we were given our first private moments Colin said “This guy is the best decision we made. He’s absolutely perfect!” And he really was!
We both felt so relaxed and comfortable with Philip he played a huge part in keeping us stress free and helping us enjoy our day!
I can't believe how good Colin looks in all our photos as he hates being photographed but Philip put him at ease from the very beginning of the day and really brought the best out of him he looks so happy and relaxed yet so stylish too!
Although I don't like being in front of the camera I do appreciate and value good photography so from the moment I first saw Philip's work I knew I wanted him as my own wedding photographer and he really delivered the goods, he made me feel comfortable, confident and relaxed in every single shot!
Everyone was so impressed with Philip on the day, he is able to bring out the best in everyone. One of my Bridesmaids has booked him for her own wedding. She just needs to finds herself a groom now!
The photos are exactly what we wanted, everyone at ease but looking their best. Philip’s way with people really made the whole experience so relaxing and stress free. His gentle ways even made our two tiny Flower Girls feel at ease and ready to strike poses. I can’t thank him enough for all his hard work, for the beautiful experience and the incredible memories!
